Last year, Ford revealed the Fiesta Van at The Commercial Vehicle Show, dressed to impress in an ST-Line inspired trim. Here’s what the Sport Van has to offer.
Starting at the back, the Fiesta loses the rear seats to create one cubic metre of loading space, able to carry a maximum of 500kg – only 160kg less than the Transit Courier’s capacity. It also comes with Ford’s Live Traffic system, providing the driver with real-time traffic information.
The ultimate selling point for the Sport Van is the sportier handling and styling. ST-Line features bring sportier bumpers, a rear spoiler and 18” alloys for an aggressive style. Inside, sports seats are standard, as well as a host of technology to make any commute simple and comfortable.
Long motorway drives are made easy with Adaptive Cruise Control, which will maintain a set speed and distance for the driver. Lane Keeping Assist will ensure the driver never leaves their lane unexpectedly, and the Blind Spot Information System will aid in changing lanes. An other assistance system comes in the form of Traffic Sign recognition, in which a camera that can recognise road signs is used to display them on the car’s screen.
There’s even the option to add in a Wi-Fi hotspot should an internet connection be needed wherever, for whomever. For the colder months, the optional heated seats and steering wheel will be a welcomed feature.
Two petrol engines and one diesel will be available. A 1.1 litre petrol engine will produce 84bhp, and a second 1.0 litre turbocharged unit will emit 123bhp. The third 1.5 litre TDCi engine will come with two output options: 84bhp or 118bhp.
Pricing for the van is around £15,000, with leases starting from around £190 + VAT*.
*Pricing correct at the time of writing but is subject to change. £1,710 + VAT initial rental followed by 47 monthly payments of £190.00 + VAT with 5,000 miles per annum. Business Contract Hire.
We can "totally" recommend the service received from Paul and Totally Vans.
In addition to the final price being extremely competitive, the entire process was absolutely painless. So much so, made me question why previous vehicle purchases were so laborious!Michael, Claire, Adam and Albi – Commercial Catering Contracts LTD.
I am always a little apprehensive when buying a new vehicle. What is the best model for my needs?, Which is the most appropriate funding solution? Am I getting a good deal? etc. Totally Vans gave me all of the facts and enabled me to make an informed and confident decision. Antony Cockerell - AR18
