Mercedes-Benz Vans have found that, according to a survey of van drivers, dogs have a positive impact on their daily life.
200,000 van drivers have a canine companion along for the ride on any given day, according to Mercedes-Benz Vans. Of these, 52% feel happier and 45% feel more relaxed when their bring their four-legged friend along.
20% of 2,000 van drivers studied feel that having their dog with them has a positive impact on their mental health, too. The average 17 hours spent alone in the vehicle – or 20 hours for more than a third of drivers – is made much less dull with a canine partner around.

Pick-up and van registrations have increased 14.1% in October 2018, according to SMMT.
In October of 2017, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) recorded 24,968 light commercial vehicles (LCV) registered in the UK. Advance to October 2018 and there was a 14.1% spike, producing a figure of 28,494 total vehicles. Commercial 4x4s have done particularly well, boasting a staggering 585% increase in registrations in October 2018 vs October 2017, whereas registrations of vans of less than 2 tons dropped by 25%

Citroen Berlingo Van wins International Van of the Year 2019 award after major update.
The new Citroen Berlingo Van won the International Van of the Year 2019 award following a major redesign. The new-style Berlingo will start making appearances in Britain in Q4 of 2018, offering a range of new updates designed to improve everyday life with the van.
The bonnet has been shortened and heightened, and there will be two sizes available at launch: M and XL, 4.40m and 4.75m in length respectively. They offer payloads of up to 1,000kg on the M category, or 950kg on the XL. Rear wheel arch space has been optimised to carry Euro-pallets.

Ford redesigned the Transit in 2018, with a warm reception. Now, they are looking to expand the engine range with a PHEV model. We have seen PHEV Transit Custom prototypes in the past, but production plans haven’t been confirmed until now.
