The Transit has been Britain’s best-selling van for nearly 50 years and with the arrival of the All-New Transit, Ford have no intention of that changing.
Adopting the same Kinetic design of the other 3 smaller Transits (the Courier, Connect and Custom) the looks of this new Transit at first seem totally different from the old outgoing model, however a few similarities can be seen in its styling.

The All-New-Transit is available as front or rear wheel drive with an all-wheel drive option. Powered by the 2.2 litre TDCi Diesel engine with 100PS, 125PS or 155PS power outputs and six speed box, the new Transit engines are all about efficiency, returning over 41 mpg combined with the ECOnetic variant and CO2 emissions ranging from 177 to 255g/km. Service intervals are now 30,000 miles/2 year and some servicing cost have been reduces making this one of the cheapest vans to keep on the road.
The Transit has three body lengths L2, L3 and L4 and two roof heights with loadspace ranging from 9.5m³ to 15.1m³ and payloads ranging from 940kg to 2281kg. Load lengths also increase to 3044mm and 4217mm for the biggest L4 transit. Side doors slide open to reveal a massive 1.3m opening and with rear barn doors that fold back and an non slip step integrated into the rear bumper makes loading and unloading a doddle. To protect the inside floor area, the transit now comes with a durable protective floor covering that extends 10cm up the sides making it easy to clean.
The most important place for the driver has also been completely revamped and now offers a stylish, comfortable, spacious and quiet place to be. Plenty of storage spaces are incorporated and equipment levels are generous as standard. Retaining the three trim levels as in ‘Base’ ‘Trend’ and ‘Limited’, the cabin looks much more car like and more refined than its predecessor. We Tested the L3H2 model and found it so easy to drive that you can quite easily forget you are driving a large van. We’re sure this new Transit won’t disappoint…not even the hardened Transit fans. It has moved the Transit to a new age and set a new benchmark for the competition.
We can "totally" recommend the service received from Paul and Totally Vans.
In addition to the final price being extremely competitive, the entire process was absolutely painless. So much so, made me question why previous vehicle purchases were so laborious!Michael, Claire, Adam and Albi – Commercial Catering Contracts LTD.
I am always a little apprehensive when buying a new vehicle. What is the best model for my needs?, Which is the most appropriate funding solution? Am I getting a good deal? etc. Totally Vans gave me all of the facts and enabled me to make an informed and confident decision. Antony Cockerell - AR18
