Another newcomer for 2014 is Citroen’s New Relay which was unveiled at the C.V show in April 2014. We were assured by one of Citroen’s officials that it was more than just a new nose job and has undergone extensive road testing with improvements having been made to ride, comfort, door hinges, seals and last but not least road handling. The changes to its face have been fairly subtle but obvious with new larger and higher mounted headlights with optional LED running lights and a new revised front bumper.

The New Relay Euro 5+ engines have also been improved and are now more fuel efficient than the outgoing engine at around 43mpg combined. The 2.2 litre diesel engines are available in a choice of 110ps, 130ps and 150ps power outputs or a 3.0 litre 180ps option, all driven by a six speed gearbox.
As before the new Relay is available in four body lengths and 3 roof heights offering load volumes of up to 17 m³. Payloads range from 1140kg to 1995kg with the later falling into the 4.0t GVW bracket.
The cab has also been revised with new seat materials, more storage places and a modified dash. Standard spec is as usual fairly good with Bluetooth, steering wheel controls for the DAB radio/CD and a USB socket for MP3 player all as standard. Upgrades include a touchscreen Sat Nav and even a reversing camera.
The outgoing model has gained popularity over the last few years with owner drivers and larger businesses alike. Most popular models are the L3H2 as they cheap to buy and cheap to run. We’re sure with the improvement made to the new model, its popularity will continue to grow.
We can "totally" recommend the service received from Paul and Totally Vans.
In addition to the final price being extremely competitive, the entire process was absolutely painless. So much so, made me question why previous vehicle purchases were so laborious!Michael, Claire, Adam and Albi – Commercial Catering Contracts LTD.
